A nativity scene wrapped all the way around one cylinder. The stable with Mary, Joseph and the child sits on one side. Around the rest of it, the three kings carry their gifts past a camel, palm trees, a town skyline and sheep, all beneath a sky of stars.
The design is printed as a three-colour inlay in tan, copper and deep brown, so the colour runs through the material rather than being painted on.
